Gerald H. Kursar, D.O. is board-certified by both the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is nationally recognized as a leader in his profession, having most recently served as President of the American Osteopathic Board Ophthalmology. Dr. Kursar is known as one of the first ophthalmologist in Missouri to perform cataract surgery with an intraocular implant lens. Now he is one of the first doctors in the St. Louis area to perform the new Non-Laser surgical procedure CONDUCTIVE KERATOPLASTY for low hyperopia people that are over 40 who have good distance vision but need reading glasses.
